Overview
As a Tanker Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our fleet maintains full utilisation, transporting customer waste materials, and responsibly disposing of them in our fleet of over 20 rigid tankers. You will demonstrate safety, compliance, and professionalism that drives a customer-focused and results-driven environment. - Executing safe, efficient transport deliveries that minimise risks and maximise cost-effectiveness.
- Driving effective communication and transparency by ensuring all incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts are reported.
- Deliver our products and services to our customers on time, in full (OTIF), reporting any issues as they arise.
- Adhere to planned routes / movement orders.
- Optimise loading and unloading times to ensure all work is completed.
- Ensure any requirements for moving abnormal loads are always met.
- Operate a lorry loader crane in varying environments and conditions.
- Work within our Tanker team executing customer service calls.
- Complete the relevant safety checks on the vehicle and equipment allocated, reporting any issues immediately, ensuring fleet and safety compliance.
- Adhere to EU driving hours and Working Times Regulations (WTD) at all times, targeting zero infringements.
- Valid Class 2 (C) HGV Driving Licence, with DCPC preferred, with at least 1 year of experience.
- Previous tanker / waste management experience, desired, but not essential, as training will be provided.
- Demonstrate flexibility; appointments may change with limited notice, in line with business or operational needs.
- Salary: £35,443.00, Overtime paid at time and a half
- This role may require up to 3 nights out per week (tramping).
- Driving a rigid welfare pump-out and water delivery tanker with a dynamic daily plan; typically 8-20 visits per day. Full training will be provided.
