Job Type: Temp to Perm (16 weeks via agency)

Salary: £12.60 per hour + bonus scheme

Hours:

Mon-Fri 37.5hrs per week between 8am-8pm

Multitask Personnel are pleased to be working with a leading national energy services provider to recruit Meter Readers across the above postcode areas on a temp to perm basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, engaging with customers and being on the move.

As a Meter Reader you'll use your own vehicle to visit both residential and commercial locations within your designated area.

• Visit residential and commercial properties to obtain accurate utility meter readings.
• Conduct visual inspections of metering equipment and report any safety issues.
• Record and submit customer data promptly using a mobile app.
• Deliver documentation where required and ensure excellent customer service.
• Work safely and independently while promoting a strong health and safety culture.

Essential requirements:

• Full UK driving licence (max 6 points).
• Access to a reliable vehicle suitable for work travel.
• Business insurance (basic level) for vehicle use at work and valid MOT
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong customer service skills and professional manner.
• Basic IT ability, able to use a mobile app or handheld device.
• Willingness to undertake a basic criminal record check as part of the recruitment process.
• Able to provide satisfactory work references covering

• Previous customer-facing, field or driving-based role.
• Experience in utilities or metering.
• Familiarity with GPS or route planning tools.

• Full training provided through a structured programme.
• Field-based role with independence and variety.

• Pay rate is £12.60ph working 37.5hrs per week
• Temp to Perm opportunity after 16 weeks
