As a Tenant Support Officer your focus is to provide a housing support service to vulnerable tenants. You will complete all documentation which will include tenancy agreements, applications for housing and other benefits to support and sustain a successful tenancy, ensuring excellent customer service is delivered. You will maximise rent collection by ensuring housing and welfare benefit claims are submitted and vacancies are filled.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Full UK driving licence required
  • Support the culture of Partners Foundation, the vision and values.
  • To work with an allocation of vulnerable individuals empowering sustainment of tenancies.
  • To complete a tenancy support plan with the new tenants detailing all elements of tenancy support required for the tenancy to be maintained and monitoring existing tenancy support plans.
  • To deliver a high-quality tenancy management service that helps tenants live well and enjoy their responsibly by offering tenancy support and ensuring out duties as a landlord are fulfilled.
  • To work alongside in individuals and understanding how best to provide support through an assessment process, to highlight any risks to themselves, their tenancy and others.
  • To provide information, advice and guidance to enable the tenants to understand their responsibilities and support them to develop effective strategies to manage those responsibilities.
  • To work closely with other professionals where appropriate to provide a holistic approach to sustaining the tenancy including coordinating professional's meetings when necessary and attending external meetings in relation to tenants needs.
  • To liaise internally with other colleagues to enable the successful cycle of tenancy related support and help them maintain their tenancy.
  • To use recording systems in place to enable a full reflection of all activities relating to each individual whether it be in house management, contact notes, or other relevant supporting documentation.
  • To be responsible for regular tenancy support visits and calls, being able to identify and resolve any issues as necessary.
  • Manage customer calls, emails and requirements related to tenancy services.
  • Support all queries, issues, complaints and help best to your knowledge and/or direct to appropriate department.
  • To increase the sustainment and reduce the turnover of tenancies within your management area, and to contribute fully towards maximising occupancy rates and income in our stock.
