Quality Inspector

An exciting Quality Inspector position has become available in Atherton, Manchester at a precision engineering company.

Job Title:

Quality Inspector.

Shifts:

39 hour working week. Monday to Thursday: 06:45 to 15:15 Friday: 06:45 to 14:15

Holiday Entitlement: 25 Days Annual leave + Bank holidays

Rate: £20.32 per hour

• Performing Goods Inwards,
• Pre-Paint and Final Inspections.
• Measuring parts in accordance with engineering drawings using various types of measuring equipment, including external micrometers, 3-legged bore micrometers, stick micrometers, depth micrometers, verniers and gauges.
• Completing dimensional reports / inspection drawings.
• Visually inspection of parts for weld spatter, damage, burrs, paint quality, part marking etc. Completing inspection sign off documentation.
• Stamping parts.
• Carrying out stencilling and paint touch ups - as required.
• Tapping threaded holes - as required. Packing - as required. Assembling parts - as required.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) and test equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• CMM experience is a benefit
