Toolroom Operative

£35,000 - £40,000 dependent on experience

You will work as part of a closely skilled team ensuring all injection tools are maintained to the highest standard. You will be a key team player but will also be able to work under your own initiative, ensuring the highest standards at all times.

It is essential that the person has a strong engineering background and the ability to read drawings and use equipment such as hand tools and measuring equipment is essential.

• Carry out the servicing work of injection moulding tools and other associated tooling.
• Good bench working skills and the ability to use associated tools.
• Read and understand engineering drawings.
• Carry out in-house tooling service checks as specified; record results on the computer system and highlight any deviations from specification for correction.
• Work on tools in the production environment as and when required as part of the tooling team.
• Work at the highest safety standards at all times.
• Use lifting equipment such as cranes (advantages but training will be given).

• Engineering background (qualifications or equivalent experience).
• Experience in injection moulding tools would be advantageous.
• Strong manufacturing experience or experience in a support function supporting manufacturing.
