Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to join our MCI Developments business, based from Wigan with regular travel to sites. Reporting into the Construction Director, they will plan and build in a safe manner the budgeted number of houses for their developments in the most efficient cost-effective way, maximising profit and delighting the customer.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and build a motivated and engaged team, developing existing team members by enabling and motivating them to be the best they can, and recruiting the right talent into the business when required.
  • Assist with completing Talent Mapping and Succession Planning bi-annually to ensure we have secure upcoming levels of talent within the region.
Requirements/Experience
  • Fit with Keepmoat core values;
    passionate about the house building industry and have previous experience in a Contracts Management role.
  • Collaborative and confident building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, with the ability to negotiate and influence.
  • Creative and able to problem solve to ensure successful delivery of developments.
  • Solutions focused and able to work in a straightforward way using financial and commercial awareness to ensure a strong customer facing experience on site.
  • Up to date relevant knowledge of building legislation, local government understanding, experience of Partnership arrangements, and up to date Health and Safety legislation.
Education and Qualifications
  • Level 6 in Site Management.
  • Coaching or Mentoring Qualification (e.g., ILM level 3 or higher).
