Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias 70/30)
Wigan
Monday–Friday, rotating 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm
Salary £44000 plus benefits
We are recruiting a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical bias to join our clients busy Engineering team.
You’ll carry out fault finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance across a range of equipment, helping to minimise downtime and drive continuous improvement.
What you’ll be doing:
- Maintain and repair production machinery (electrical & mechanical)
- Support PPM schedules and improvement projects
- Diagnose PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults
- Work closely with production and contractors to resolve issues quickly
- Ensure compliance with health & safety standards
What we’re looking for:
- Time-served Engineer with City & Guilds (or equivalent)
- Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
- Confident with PLC fault finding and control systems
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
