£42,000 + Overtime, Wigan, 3x Shift (Earlies / Lates / Nights) gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer with Electrical bias to work at their facility based near Wigan.

• Perform reactive and preventative maintenance on machinery and site utilities.
• Carry out electrical & some mechanical maintenance tasks.
• Support equipment installations and upgrades.
• Drive uptime and reliability by quickly resolving breakdowns.
• Uphold Food Safety, Health & Safety, and Hygiene standards.
• Collaborate with internal departments for effective communication and minimal disruption.
• Identify and implement engineering improvements.

• HNC in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Served apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering
• Solid understanding of health & safety and food safety regulations.
• Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
• A problem-solving, hands‑on approach and continuous improvement mindset.
• FMCG / Food experience (preferred)
• Experience working on PLCs - Mitsubishi & Siemens (Preferred)
