Position: Teaching Assistant Level 2 1:1

Overview

St John’s Mosley Common CE Primary School (Commonside Road, Worsley, M28 1AE
) offers a temporary Level 2 Teaching Assistant position. Salary:
Grade 3, £18,172 – £18,749 per annum. £12.85 – £13.26 per hour
32.5 hours per week, term‑time working 38 weeks per year. Temporary until funding ceases or the child leaves the school. Required as soon as possible (dependent upon DBS and other safeguarding requirements). The Governors of St John’s Mosley Common C.E. Primary School are seeking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant who is enthusiastic and highly motivated to support the teaching and learning of a pupil in lower KS2, supporting the child 1:1 and in small groups.

Responsibilities

Support the teaching and learning of a pupil in lower KS2, working 1:1 and in small groups.

Qualifications
  • Experience of supporting children with ADHD and Autism
  • Experience working with children with difficulties in communication and interaction, social and emotional wellbeing, concentration, dysregulation
  • Excellent behaviour management skills including positive reinforcement and feedback
  • Good English and Maths skills
  • Experience of feeding back to the class teacher in relation to children’s progress
  • Ability to work on own initiative, be flexible to the child’s and class teacher’s needs, have a caring nature and work as a team member

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm with a ½ hour lunch break. 32.5 hours per week, term‑time working 38 weeks per year.
