Teaching Assistant – Primary School
Start Date: Immediate
A friendly and supportive primary school in Wigan is currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their team on an immediate start basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a committed and adaptable Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting pupils across the primary age range and contributing positively to a welcoming school environment.
Responsibilities- Supporting the class teacher in the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons
- Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
- Supporting pupils with varying needs, including SEND, where required
- Assisting with classroom preparation, organisation, and general duties
- Helping to promote positive behaviour and a safe, nurturing learning environment
- Supporting pupils both inside and outside of the classroom
- Has experience working with children in a primary school setting
- Is flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to different classroom environments
- Demonstrates a caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
- Has strong communication and teamwork skills
- Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- A welcoming and inclusive school community

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
