Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced teacher to support schools to improve outcomes and inclusion for Ethnic Minority, Gypsy, Roma, Traveller and Showman pupils. The role involves providing specialist assessment of pupils learning and English as an Additional language (EAL) needs, training school staff to implement effective strategies and ensure inclusive practice and managing the teaching and learning staff within the team.
You will contribute to the borough-wide education strategy and champion high-quality education and inclusion for one of our most vulnerable groups of children, ensuring they are supported to achieve their full potential.
Provide specialist assessment of pupils’ learning and EAL needs, train school staff to implement effective strategies, ensure inclusive practice, manage the teaching and learning staff within the team, contribute to the borough-wide education strategy and champion high-quality education and inclusion for Ethnic Minority, Gypsy, Roma, Traveller and Showman pupils.
QualificationsQualified teacher with a deep understanding of inclusive education, particularly for Ethnic Minority, Gypsy, Roma, Traveller and Showman pupils. Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with schools, families and partner agencies. Flexibility, strategic planning, specialist EAL assessment and training delivery, travel across the borough, passion for equity, cultural competence and the ability to inspire and support a specialist team.
