Food Technology Teacher

Hazel Tree Education are currently supporting a secondary school in the Wigan area in their search for a full-time Food Tech Teacher to teach across the curriculum.

As a Teacher of Food Tech, you will be part of a friendly and dedicated department. You will be responsible for the teaching and planning of the Food Tech curriculum across KS3 & 4. This role is a temporary, full-time position starting February - April 2026.

Applicants must have:

* An Honours Degree with Qualified Teacher Status and evidence of delivering the National Curriculum in UK schools

* The ability to track, monitor and report on pupils’ progress and teach Food Tech up to GCSE level

* A resilient nature, excellent communication skills and a creative, inspirational approach to classroom practice

* Strong behaviour management skills

* Two references including most recent employer

* Right to work in the UK

* A clear DBS on the Update Service or the means to acquire one
