Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our KS1 team in a friendly Wigan primary school. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Teaching Assistant who wants to make a real difference in the early years of children's learning.

• Support the class teacher as a Teaching Assistant in delivering engaging lessons

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils as a Teaching Assistant

• Assist with classroom organisation, learning resources, and behaviour management as a Teaching Assistant

• Encourage independence, confidence, and positive attitudes to learning

• Act as a reliable and approachable Teaching Assistant for both staff and pupils

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in KS1 or primary settings

• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach suitable for a Teaching Assistant role

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Knowledge of safeguarding and child welfare practices

• Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant - desirable but not essential
