We are seeking an experienced Site Manager or Project Manager to oversee groundworks and civils contracts across the North West, starting with a large-scale scheme in Wigan.

This is a long-term opportunity for a capable individual looking for stability and progression, with a strong pipeline of work secured in the region.

Role & Responsibilities:

* Overall management of groundworks and civils projects from start to completion

* Managing site teams, subcontractors, and supervisors

* Planning and programming works to meet deadlines and budgets

* Ensuring works are delivered to specification and quality standards

* Maintaining high levels of health & safety and site compliance

* Liaising with clients, engineers, and senior management

* Managing materials, plant, and labour resources

* Reporting progress, costs, and programme updates

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Site Manager or Project Manager within groundworks and civils

* Strong technical knowledge of:

* Earthworks

* Drainage (foul & surface water)

* Roads, pavements, and infrastructure

* Foundations and external works

* SMSTS (essential)

* CSCS card (Manager level preferred)

* First Aid at Work

* Ability to manage multiple work streams and deadlines

* Strong leadership and communication skills
