About the Role

We are looking for an outstanding Activities Coordinator with a passion for delivering excellent care at Cygnet Paddocks, a specialist neuropsychiatric hospital located in Widnes, North West England. The service provides a dedicated care pathway for men affected by acquired brain injury or neurological conditions, where challenging behaviours are central to recovery and rehabilitation.

You’ll be working 40 hours a week (working times to be discussed at interview).

Driving license requirement
:
Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence for at least 2 years and be 21 years of age or over, for insurance purposes.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, plan, implement and oversee activities, outings and events for patients.
  • Provide fun and constructive leisure time, as well as appropriate physical and emotional support.
  • Ensure the provision of staff, space and materials for all activities.
  • Supervise, oversee and develop colleagues.
  • Oversee the creation of promotional materials for events.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in health care or a similar setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to working with individuals who have complex needs.
  • Experience planning, resourcing and carrying out events and activities that support patient wellbeing.
  • Excellent role model of good care and a positive, organised attitude.
  • Confident public speaker and facilitator.
  • Knowledgeable of suitable activities and pastimes for mental health service users.
  • Positive approach to working with challenging behaviours.
  • Valid UK driving licence (as noted above).
