Every day at Wilmere Lane, we inspire our children to be inquisitive, imaginative and confident learners through our carefully designed learning environments. For over 20 years, we’ve welcomed and nurtured children who go on to spend many happy years imagining, discovering, and exploring with us.

Our cosy, home‑from‑home atmosphere creates a sense of comfort, togetherness, and well‑being—helping children to feel secure, content and ready to thrive.

Our passionate, experienced team brings a wealth of early years knowledge. We understand that every child is unique, with their own story to tell, so we tailor our approach to support each child in a way—and at a pace—that’s just right for them.

Our children enjoy dedicated time in our large garden, where a range of outdoor experiences help them connect with nature and grow in confidence. Indoors, our calming and nurturing spaces are designed to support babies, toddlers and pre‑schoolers alike.

Mealtimes are a warm and social part of the day, with our children helping to serve healthy, home‑cooked meals in a relaxed setting that encourages independence and community.

About you

You are an Early Years Educator / Practitioner / Nursery Nurse, or similar, and you're looking for an Early Years Educator/Nursery Nurse/Early Years Practitioner role that allows you flexibility of working shifts around your other commitments.

You enjoy supporting and encouraging the natural curiosity and excitement of young children and were born to teach and shape the future of our younger generations.

You have a natural, nurturing, openness, a warm and positive outlook, and you care about learning and education standards in the UK.

(We can sometimes consider unqualified Educators, so if you can demonstrate the necessary values and enthusiasm for working within this environment, submit an application. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.)

What you'll be doing

You’ll be helping to provide cover for the children as and when needed. This could be for periods of holiday, sickness, or even vacancy gaps. Sometimes you'll support for a full day, or it may just be a morning or afternoon session.

You’ll likely start most of your days with a fully formulated plan… That will soon get completely derailed though… Pivoting when the circumstances call for it is a regular occurrence in child care!

Creativity is key. Teaching young children allows for hands‑on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games. It’s important to keep things fresh and try new activities to keep attention spans engaged. Of course we work within the EYFS standards, but that doesn't stop you from engaging your creative flair and enthusiasm for learning.

What you’ll need
  • A full and relevant Level 2 or above qualification within early years.
  • Experience as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner) or having worked with children under the age of 5 is advantageous.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS is desirable.
  • Reflecting the Storal values around responsibility, openness and working together.
What you’ll get

Benefits at a glance

  • Enhanced holidays, paid sick pay, extra wellness day off (yearly); accessing your pay before payday with Pay Captain.
  • Childcare discount + funding, compassionate leave & enhanced maternity (and more).
  • Partnerships with Vitality & Peppy; fertility & menopause support, gym discount, free movie tickets and more.
  • Micro‑learning, financial stability tools & Storal Support Fund.
  • Termly inset days, team app & Storal Awards gathering.
  • Enhanced DBS check and subscription to the DBS Update Service.
  • We partner with world‑leading third parties such as Pay Captain, Vitality, and Peppy.

And much much more. We care about our people.
