We are recruiting for a full‑time Ward Clerk for Cygnet Hospital Paddocks.

Working full time, 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Cygnet Paddocks is an all‑male specialist neuropsychiatric hospital located in Widnes, North West England, providing a dedicated pathway for men affected by acquired brain injury or neurological conditions where behaviours that challenge are the overarching impairment to recovery and rehabilitation. The service supports the Level 1 Neuropsychiatric Rehabilitation Pathway with a focus exclusively on adult males.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clinical staff in ward administration.
  • Ensure accurate recording and circulation of information.
  • File all patient case notes and conduct regular audits to keep paperwork up to date.
  • Complete all ward filing in line with Cygnet policies.
  • Answer telephone, cover reception and undertake other administrative duties as required.
  • Ensure that reports are submitted on time and that care plans are accurate and up to date.
  • Liaise with medical secretaries to ensure timely submission of reports.
Qualifications
  • Experienced in administration in a fast‑paced hospital environment.
  • Organised, diligent and can strictly adhere to processes and procedures.
  • Knowledgeable of mental health and patient confidentiality issues.
  • Skilled at inputting, pulling and analysing data using Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and IT systems/packages.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to swiftly solve problems and work under pressure without compromising quality.
