A highly regarded and ambitious North West firm in Widnes is looking to appoint an experienced Audit Senior to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and detail-focused audit professional to take ownership of assignments from planning through to completion, mentor junior staff, and build strong, lasting client relationships within a supportive and forward-thinking practice.

• Lead audit assignments for smaller and medium-sized clients from planning to completion.
• Take responsibility for key audit sections on larger engagements, including complex areas such as stock, deferred tax and related party transactions.
• Prepare audit planning documentation, analytical reviews and going concern assessments.
• Review the work of junior team members, providing clear guidance and constructive feedback.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients on smaller audits, resolving queries efficiently and professionally.
• Prepare high-quality, and where required, more complex tax computations.

• Experienced in managing audits within a practice environment.
• Confident leading and motivating junior staff.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build credible client relationships.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
• Professional, commercially aware, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
• Comfortable managing multiple deadlines and projects effectively.
