Shift: 3rd shift, 10pm-6am.

Position Summary

Set up and operate CNC Milling machines used to prefinish fired ceramic cores. Mount proper fixtures and load tooling in accordance with written procedures. Make minor adjustments to machines, including program offsets, to maintain product quality standards.

Essential Functions

• Set up CNC Milling machines, mount part‑holding fixture, load proper program, and mount appropriate cutting tools.
• Load and unload parts on fixtures, checking for visual and dimensional criteria during production run.
• Adjust all equipment as required to maintain quality and quantity standards.
• Cut tie‑bars on bucket cores.
• Use micrometers and other measuring instruments to verify cores.
• Run the CNC machine for inspection and read product X‑rays.
• Meet department productivity and yield standards.
• Follow and adhere to all safety procedures.
• Maintain department standards for housekeeping/6S.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Required Skills

• Ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.
• Proficient use of micrometers, calipers, and other measuring instruments.
• Self‑directed to accomplish goals with minimal supervision.
• Good interpersonal skills for dealing with customers and internal employees.

Experience & Education

• Must be able to read and write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.

Physical Demands

• Standing: 1‑2 hours per day.
• Walking: 1‑2 hours per day.
• Lifting: 1‑2 hours per day.
• Sitting: 1‑2 hours per day.
• Climbing: 1‑2 hours per day.
• Near moving machinery: 1‑2 hours per day.
