Randstad Education is looking for a dedicated Teacher of Maths to join a collaborative and high-achieving faculty in Wickford.

Core Responsibilities

• Curriculum Delivery: Planning and teaching high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (AQA/Edexcel/OCR specifications).
• GCSE Preparation: Delivering targeted support for Foundation and Higher tier students, focusing on exam technique and mathematical reasoning.
• Data-Driven Progress: Regularly assessing student work and using data to identify gaps in understanding, implementing effective interventions where necessary.
• Engagement: Promoting "Maths in the real world," helping students see the practical applications of the subject in finance, engineering, and technology.
• Classroom Management: Maintaining a structured, positive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them.

What We Are Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): A mandatory requirement. We also welcome applications from ambitious Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
• Subject Expertise: A degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Clarity of Instruction: The ability to explain abstract concepts clearly and adapt teaching styles to suit different learning abilities.
• Professionalism: A commitment to the wider school life and a desire to contribute to the success of the Maths department.
• Location: Ideally based in Wickford or capable of commuting via the A127 or the Southend/London rail link.
