We’re looking for a committed part-time support worker to join our dedicated team in Wick to support two gentlemen in one of our services in Wick. The gentlemen we support have different support needs and tailored care and support plans. They have many interests and hobbies, including swimming, music, eating out, cooking, arts and crafts. One gentleman also has an allotment.

They are outgoing and fun.

You should have a calm, supportive approach and be highly motivated to support and develop a range of life skills including cooking, cleaning, managing finances, scheduling and attending appointments, support with personal hygiene, shopping and cooking. You will have a positive and flexible outlook to your work with good communication skills.

Experience with mental health and/or learning disabilities would be an advantage. We are seeking applicants who have availability to work long shifts including weekends and sleepovers. Responsibilities
  • Spend your whole shift with the person you support, making the biggest impact on their lives
  • Support the person with life skills: cooking, cleaning, budgeting, scheduling and attending appointments
  • Assist with personal hygiene and daily living activities
  • Support with shopping and meal preparation
  • Follow tailored care and support plans and adapt to changing needs
  • Collaborate with your team to provide consistent, high-quality care
  • Attend training and development to advance professional and personal growth
Qualifications & Requirements
