Route Driver Job Summary

A Route Driver is responsible for operation of a truck to collect fabrication material from meat processors, slaughter facilities, grocery stores, and pick up farm mortalities.

• Must be able to handle outside elements year round.
• Collects and inspects products at time of pick up for any foreign material at customer location.
• Required to maintain an Electronic DOT log.
• Responsible and operates vehicle in accordance with Company, federal, state and local regulations.
• Conducts pre and post trip vehicle inspections; observes company policy, procedures and safety rules.
• Maintains excellent customer relations by providing quality, professional service at all times.
• Responsible for completing all company required paperwork in accordance with company policies on a daily basis.
• Attendance at all safety meetings required; may be asked to serve on Safety Committee.
• All other duties as assigned by management.
