Job Summary:
As a Carpenter II, you'll take pride in the detailed work that gives commercial projects their polished, professional look. From installing trim, cabinetry, and millwork to handling other fine carpentry tasks, you'll showcase craftsmanship that makes every space stand out.
The ideal candidate brings a sharp eye for detail, experience with a variety of materials, and a commitment to quality in every cut, joint, and finish. This role is perfect for someone who values precision, enjoys hands-on work, and takes satisfaction in delivering top-notch results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced carpentry, including complex framing, formwork, and structural components.
- Complete specialized finish work such as cabinetry, trim, molding, doors, hardware, and installation of building specialties
- Understands work meets building codes, project specs, and safety standards.
- Lead and mentor junior carpenters and laborers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant worksite.
- Support other crews and complete additional tasks as assigned.
- Can perform independently
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Additional vocational or technical training in carpentry is preferred.
- 3+ years of practical experience in carpentry, or a proven track record of successful project completion, is required.
- Expertise in installing trim, molding, cabinetry, and other finish carpentry.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency with tools and equipment (saws, nail guns, drills, sanders, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail, precision, and craftsmanship.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, meeting project deadlines. - Familiarity with commercial building codes, safety standards, and OSHA regulations.
- Understanding of general commercial construction build sequence.
- Experience with a wide range of materials and advanced carpentry techniques.
- Prior work enforcing quality standards on commercial projects.
- OSHA 10 Certification
- Equipment Operator Certification
- Bilingual
- Ability to train
- Ability to help with takeoff from blueprints.
- You will work indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Work may require night shift/travel.
- Job site could be noisy or dusty.
- Able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Lift, push or pull materials weighing up to 80 lbs. (25 lbs. consistently).
- Walk, bend, twist, turn, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb and squat in cramped or awkward positions on a frequent basis.
- Climb to unlimited heights on ladders or scaffolds.
- Operate machinery that vibrates (drills, sanders, jackhammers, etc.) on a repetitive basis.
- Perform tasks that require gross and fine hand motions and coordination.
- Perform tasks that require clear and sharp vision.
