Overview
REPORTS TO:
Master Electrician, Assistant Lighting Designer, Production Manager
JOB TYPE:
Seasonal, Salaried
GENERAL JOB STATEMENT:
The Electrician works with a crew of other electricians under the supervision of the Master Electrician and Assistant Lighting Designer to safely complete hang and focus of the lighting plot as well as any other specialty projects and the performance of certain deck electrician duties.
- Safely hang, rig, and focus all lighting equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret a lighting plot.
- Maintain and repair lighting instruments and equipment.
- Act as deck electrician where required on shows.
- Participate in all show load-ins and load-outs.
- Assist in organization and maintenance of work spaces and tools.
- Ability to work as a member of a crew.
- Any additional tasks as requested by the Master Electrician, Assistant Lighting Designer, or the PM.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrics including safe practices, wiring, hang & focus, and run crew.
- Ideal candidate will have experience with the newest instruments and equipment.
