POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Afognak Diversified Services, Inc a company of Afognak Native Corporation has opportunity for a Part-time Armed Security Officer in Wichita, KS. The Armed Security Officersecures the facility under established operating procedures and processes.

  • Responds to a variety of calls/incidents
  • Secures/safeguards specific scenes
  • Performs crowd control as required
  • Performs personnel, vehicular, and building facility checks; as well as First Aid and CPR as required.
  • Completes all required reports, forms, and other established procedures via electronic security application
  • Safely maintains and qualifies with assigned weapons, maintains uniform and grooming standards in accordance with company policies
  • Operates patrol vehicle in a safe manner, conducts flag protocols,safe guards all assets
  • Provides motorist assistance and escort persons and equipment as needed
  • Conducts other assignments in accordance with established SOP’s

Payrate:$26.00 to $26.50 hourly

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND

EXPERIENCE:

  • Three (3) years of security experience within the past five (5) years or,
    • An Associate's degree, or at least 60-semester hours college credit in any field of study or,
    • Three (3) years military or National Guard experience, (active or reserve) or,
    • Successful completion of Police Officer Standard Training (POST) course, or any reasonable combination of above.
  • City of Wichita issued security License
  • Obtain conceal and Carry permit
  • Must be familiar with various Security systems such as: CCTV’s, access control, emergency notification systems, and mobile security applications
  • Successfully pass a criminal history background investigation
  • Must Speak English fluently; read and comprehend written English.
  • Must be able to demonstrate excellent skill using Microsoft applications
  • Must be capable of learning new computer programs and applications
  • Must be able to successfully complete approximately 80 hrs. of company provided training. (Classes are scheduled 7 days a week)
  • Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment physical exam and drug screen
  • Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment Physical Readiness Test
