Responsible for prospecting and running presentations both in person and over the phone to small and mid‑sized merchants, restaurateurs, and businesses to ultimately close deals within a fast sales cycle. As a Core Payments Relationship Manager (RM) you will report to a District Manager and receive coaching from a Director. Activities include explaining our value proposition, demonstrating our Payments Platform, upselling current clients on other Global Payments products and services, and maintaining regular communication with the Core Payments District Manager.
Job Duties- Close sales of our business solutions with merchants throughout the area.
- Work closely with your local District Manager to set appointments with business owners in person via your network and referral partnerships.
- Run scheduled appointments, uncover needs, and present Global Payments solutions to close sales in small to mid‑sized businesses.
- During the training period, the District Manager will accompany you on initial appointments to train you on our short‑cycle sales process using our CRM platforms Atlas and Salesforce for lead generation, sales presentations, on‑spot client financial analysis and paperless contract processing.
- Responsible for prospecting new clients.
- Maintain existing/prospective client records in the CRM system, including call notes, scheduled client interactions, contact information, and other relevant client information.
- Responsible for achieving minimum production requirements, including setting first‑time appointments, to secure quota.
- Continuously build and develop knowledge of current product/service portfolio and changes within the financial technology industry.
- Attend weekly team meetings and weekly one‑on‑one with your leader.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

- Knowledge of Restaurant and/or Retail industry is a plus
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license (position requires regular driving)
- In accordance with state law, a background check will be conducted after a conditional offer of employment
- Completion of mandatory drug screening on or near the 60th day of employment
- Live in the area relative to the job posting location
- Ability to be in the field, a minimum of 75% of the time
- High school diploma/GED
- At least two years of relevant experience
