Position Summary

As a Produce Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Produce and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.
Responsibilities- Be a Team Leader:
Supervises the team in Produce and Floral area to deliver on the business plan and contribute to the overall success of the club. Communicates the goals of the department, executes company programs, adheres to policies, and acts as an advocate for the member, the associate, and the company. - Work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club is meeting the members’ expectations.
- Be an Expert:
Maintains in-depth knowledge of the business on the floor and backroom operations, ensuring the produce area meets company standards for quality, inventory, production, sanitation, equipment usage, safety, and compliance. - Manages seasonality:
Manages item volume, product knowledge, processes, and prioritization of time between areas. - Collaborates with associates to ensure the team has resources to do their job effectively, sharing knowledge and training the team.
- Be a Techie:
Leverages digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; uses handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, product quality, and encourages adoption of new tools. - Be an Owner:
Drives the business results, maintains staffing levels, ensures profitability, maintains a neat, clean, and safe work area for the team and members; maintains adequate staffing, accurate audits, and compliance standards; produces and displays merchandise according to the layout plan; models commitment to member service. - Be a Talent Ambassador:
Teaches and trains the team to be highly effective; identifies potential and develops necessary skills; encourages career growth and sources new talent; develops, communicates, and implements processes to meet business needs; analyzes information from multiple sources and identifies improvement opportunities. - Demonstrates compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethics; explains and applies these in executing business processes; supports management with identifying and correcting ethical and compliance issues.
- Leads and participates in teams by using resources and tools, determines customer needs and business priorities, coordinates work, provides feedback, and supports timelines and quality; helps others adapt to change or new challenges.
