Customer Service Rep
Overview
The Associate is responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations, acquiring and maintaining product knowledge, preparing, serving, and breaking down product, equipment, and supplies. The role requires intercepting consumers and demonstrating products in a professional manner while maintaining a high standard of personal appearance.
Pay rate: $14.00 per hour; not expected to exceed 25 hours per week.
Responsibilities- Acquire adequate knowledge of represented products.
- Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell products to consumers in a positive manner.
- Effectively communicate product features and benefits.
- Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
- Set up and prepare event tables for execution.
- Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
- Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
- Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
- Complete expense reports and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
- Navigate company electronic systems using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Adobe PDF forms.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; one to three months of related experience preferred.
- Proficient in using personal computers or mobile devices with applications and internal systems.
- Local food handler’s permit may be required.
- Ability to stand, walk, reach overhead up to 65 inches, lift up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), push/pull a wheeled demonstration cart, and use cleaning supplies.
- Physical ability to stand and work a shift, stoop, kneel, squat, climb, and balance.
- Good communication skills and verbal fluency in English; bilingual skills may be required depending on business necessity.
- Professional appearance and grooming at all times.
None supervisory responsibilities; retail store environment with limited travel. Maintain professional appearance and dress code as per retailer guidelines.
