Shift Managers

About the Position

This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee and not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is the sole employer responsible for hiring, firing, discipline, scheduling, and other employment matters. McDonald’s USA has no control over employment matters at the restaurant.

Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience. As a Shift Manager you will:

• Lead the crew and other managers during a shift to maintain quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Plan each shift, monitor performance, and take action to meet McDonald’s standards.
• Monitor safety, security, and profitability, and communicate information to the next Shift Manager.
• Help assigned Departments meet their goals and achieve shift targets.
• Perform daily maintenance and cleanliness duties.
• Manage crew scheduling, inventory, and training.
• Oversee food safety, quality food production, and exceptional customer service.
• Handle internal communication, safety, and security responsibilities.

• Previous leadership experience in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment (preferred).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible schedule and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Must be 18 years or older to serve as a manager in a corporate‑owned restaurant.
