The Leasing Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the leasing process across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, and industrial properties spanning multiple states and municipalities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring high occupancy rates, securing qualified tenants aligned with Genesis Health Clubs’ core values, and maintaining superior tenant relations through exceptional customer service.
The Leasing Manager works closely with corporate leadership, property managers, and maintenance teams to ensure leasing activities support the organization’s strategic objectives. Responsibilities include overseeing the marketing and leasing of available units, conducting tenant screenings, negotiating lease terms, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

Leasing Manager Responsibilities & Duties
- Advertise available properties using a variety of marketing techniques
- Show properties to prospective tenants and explain terms of occupancy
- Negotiate leasing terms and conditions and close deals
- Process lease applications and prepare lease agreements
- Conduct background checks and verify potential tenants' information
- Coordinate move-in and move-out processes
- Handle tenant complaints and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market conditions and property laws
- Ensure all lease documentation is accurate and compliant with regulations
- Lead property management and coordinate with local leaders on running properties efficiently and profitably
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to address property upkeep and repairs
- Prepare reports on leasing activity and occupancy rates
- Develop and implement leasing strategies to maximize property occupancy
- Organize and participate in community events and promotional activities
Leasing Manager
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field
- Certification such as Certified Property Manager (CPM) or Leasing Professional (CLP)
- Prior experience in property management or real estate
- Proficiency in property management software and CRM systems
- Strong sales and marketing skills
- Exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution abilities
- Familiarity with local property laws and regulations
- Experience with social media and online marketing platforms
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in leasing or property management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed
