Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring a KS or compact RN license and current BLS certification.
Responsibilities- Work in the Med Surg float pool at a Level 1 Trauma Center, Chest Pain Center, and Comprehensive Stroke Center
- Float between Med Surg units and may also cover a secondary campus as needed
- Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
- 13-week contract assignment
- Primary responsibilities include providing nursing care across various Med Surg units and adapting to multiple patient populations
- May encounter trauma, cardiac, and stroke cases due to Level 1 Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center environment
- MOAB De-Escalation Training and NIH certification are beneficial but not required
- Orientation to float pool and facility will be provided
- COVID vaccination is not required
- All candidates must only apply to one Ascension position across the system at a time
- Local candidates are accepted but may be offered a reduced rate based on facility radius rules
- Two professional references and a copy of driver’s license are needed for consideration
- Active KS or compact RN license in hand
- One year of recent Med Surg nursing experience required
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- Nursys verification and primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start
- US Social Security Number and US home address required
