Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient‑centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies, serves as a resource for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision and values to support a superior patient experience and clinical outcomes.

What

you will do in this role:
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high‑quality patient centred care
  • Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service
  • Support a patient‑first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary
  • Support facility engagement initiatives by operationalizing nursing strategies such as employee rounding and hourly rounds
  • Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; recommend and implement actions for training, conflict resolution, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions to enhance organization performance
  • Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines
  • Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment
Qualifications
  • Current Kansas Registered Nurse License or valid compact license
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) verification
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school (required);
    Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical RN experience preferred
  • Preferable: two years progressive supervisory or charge nurse experience
