The Labor and Delivery unit delivers approximately 350 babies per month and cares for 700-900 outpatients per month, focusing on high‑risk labor for women aged 14-55. Over 70% of LDR nurses have received their National Nursing Certifications. The unit has been remodeled, with the project completed in Spring 2023.

Responsibilities include delivering patient‑centered nursing care in accordance with standards of care defined by Wesley Medical Center, evaluating the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, maintaining current knowledge in nursing practice and education, collaborating with patients and healthcare providers, and participating in quality improvement activities.
