- Certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

- Enhance the clinical care and quality of life of our residents and protect all resident rights
- Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician
- Check all residents daily to ensure prescribed treatment is properly administered and evaluate their physical and emotional status
- Keep the RN Supervisor informed about the status of residents, staff and related matters
- Implement recommended changes as directed by the RN Supervisor or the Director of Nurses
- Administer professional services such as catheterization, tube feeding, suction, dressing changes, colostomy and drainage bag care, blood, sputum and urine specimen collection as established by policies and procedures
- Complete all LPN required record‑keeping forms/charts upon admission, discharge, transfer, etc.; file in resident’s chart or forward to appropriate department
- Give and receive nursing reports upon shift duty hours
- Investigate complaints and grievances and make necessary oral/written reports to RN Supervisor or Director of Nurses
- Present a professional image to residents and families through dress, behavior and speech
- Adhere to our policies and standards
