Role Overview :
This position is based in a 26-bed Cardiac Care Unit staffed by a skilled team of 15 nurses on each shift, supported by charge nurses and patient care technicians. The unit utilizes cutting-edge equipment such as balloon pumps, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and hypothermia treatments. Patient ratios are maintained at 1:2, allowing for focused and attentive care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide specialized nursing care for cardiac patients, including management of heart caths, balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia protocols, cardioversion, central lines, and medication drips.
* Collaborate efficiently within a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
* Maintain compliance with unit policies and safety guidelines.
* Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate and timely documentation.
Qualifications and
Experience:
* Current RN licensure with experience in Stepdown or Cardiac Care
* BLS and ACLS certification required; NIH certification preferred
* Strong clinical skills in cardiac care interventions and equipment management
* Ability to maintain a positive, organized, and efficient approach to patient care
Schedule and Contract Details:
* 7 PM to 7 AM shift
