Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Cardiovascular position with telemetry responsibilities and Cerner One Chart EMR experience required.

• Work in a 38-bed Medical/Surgical Cardiovascular Unit
• Patients require cardiac medical-surgical care with telemetry monitoring and remote monitoring capabilities
• No drip titrations required
• Lab personnel collect blood specimens; RNs start IVs with IV team support available
• No responsibilities for EKGs or sheath discontinuation
• Requires working every other weekend
• Uses Cerner One Chart for documentation
• Provide direct care to cardiovascular patients in a collaborative team environment
• Support is available from unit IV team as needed
• Required to wear Ceil Blue scrubs while on duty
• COVID-19 vaccination is no longer required
• Only one Ascension Health position may be held system-wide at a time
• Candidates within a specified local radius will be offered a reduced pay rate
• Holiday and RTO requests should be submitted according to facility guidelines

• Active KS or Compact RN license, verified through Nursys
• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
• MOAB De-escalation Training preferred
• Must provide US Social Security Number and a US home address
