Summary:
Performs lay-up of metal bond and composite materials in accordance with customer and company specifications and requirements while following company policies and using proper personal protective equipment.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Applies adhesive to metal detail parts and assembles parts.
- Lays up composite fiberglass parts according to engineering specifications and work orders.
- Visually inspects parts for foreign object damage (F.O.D.) prior to bagging parts.
- Vacuum bags parts while ensuring there are no leaks in bag.
- Cleans and preps bond tools as needed.
- Unbags and unmolds parts as needed.
- Records job information in ERP system.
- Properly documents travelers, process logs, record charts and tank information.
- Maintains clean work area, tools and equipment.
- Inspects work pieces for defects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
