Perform first article, in-process, receiving and final inspection in support of production activities. Approve incoming materials and parts by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials. Approve in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments. Approve finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re‑work; confirming re‑work.
Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re‑work and waste; inputting data into a quality database. Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations. Participate in frequent and detailed recurrent training courses covering aerospace systems and requirements, company operations policies, etc. Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the work unit and Harlow Aerostructures LLC.
Required
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret customer specifications and standards.
- Familiarity with Geometric Tolerances (GDT).
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Self‑motivated and well organized.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization.
- Must pass yearly Inspector Vision Exam.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Two years of experience in the Aerospace Industry, preferred.
- Experience with micrometers, calipers, height gages, depth gages, etc., preferred.
- Corrective action and root cause analysis experience, preferred.
