With ten strategically located sites across the United States, Valence provides a start to finish solution from NDT and chemical processing, to paint and sub-assembly.
Position SummaryResponsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards. Position will support the weekend shift, Friday thru Sunday days.
Responsibilities- Prioritize and manage workflow to ensure timely processing of work and achievement of production deadlines.
- Supervise team members by clearly communicating job duties, performance expectations, and accountability standards.
- Monitor and document employee performance, attendance, productivity, and quality of work.
- Assign tasks to appropriately trained employees, ensuring alignment with skill sets and operational needs.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of all output produced within the department.
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment, promptly reporting any safety concerns to the Health and Safety team.
- Oversee the maintenance and functionality of equipment, ensuring all tools and machinery are in good working order.
- Provide leadership by instructing, motivating, and guiding employees; initiate merit increases or progressive disciplinary actions when appropriate.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization (housekeeping) in all work areas.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and safety regulations (including OSHA compliance).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing production needs.
- Proficient in using production management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
This position requires access to EAR or ITAR controlled technologies. Applicants are required to be eligible for employment under U.S. export control laws.
