JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Are you interested in experiencing a potential career in manufacturing? Viega provides a post-high school pre-apprenticeship program that offers participants a detailed insight into Viega's careers and the possibility of advancing to an apprenticeship within the company. The program provides a hands-on environment in Plastics, Metals, Maintenance, and Tool shops, allowing participants to experience work in manufacturing. Successful program completion opens opportunities for participants to pursue one of Viega’s apprenticeship career paths.

Program Duration: 9 weeks
Session Dates: Tuesday, May 26th, 2026 - Friday, July 24th, 2026
Please note that session dates are tentative and will be confirmed during the interview/offers process.
JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS
- Receive professional and personal development.
- Obtain industry certifications.
- Rotate between key departments such as Plastics, Metals, Maintenance & Tool Shop to learn career paths at Viega.
- Learn about Viega’s advanced manufacturing while you tour, shadow, and complete operations tasks.
- 9-week summer program
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Excellent note taking and detail-oriented skills.
- Basic math, reading, and computer skills.
- Teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and excellent work ethic.
- Willingness to learn and be exposed to a manufacturing environment.
- Safety conscious
It is important to note that while prior experience may not be necessary for the pre-apprenticeship program, highlighting any relevant skills or experiences (even if from non-manufacturing backgrounds) on your resume or during the interview process can increase your chances of landing the opportunity.
