Ready to shape the future of how we work? We are looking for an internally focused AI Specialist who will discover and implement AI innovations that help our teams work smarter. This is an in‑person role located in Wichita, Kansas.
You’ll collaborate with Hutton’s subject matter experts, ask the right questions, and observe workflows to identify real challenges. This isn't a visionary role. We need someone who gets excited about solving tangible problems, tests solutions methodically, and isn't afraid to declare something doesn't work. When something does work, you’ll need to be just as excited to use data and reporting to prove it.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with Hutton leaders to align AI initiatives with company strategy and objectives.
- Analyze operations across all service offerings and regions to identify pain points and productivity opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to design, pilot, and evaluate AI solutions for measurable impact.
- Measure results and determine scalability
, adjusting strategies as needed. - Assess, mitigate, and educate teammates about AI risks
, ensuring responsible implementation and compliance.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in business operations, business intelligence, systems integrations, and/or AI integrations required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Process Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Science or related field, or education in AI preferred.
- Deep AI knowledge and genuine curiosity about how things work.
- Background in business intelligence and systems integrations.
- Experience successfully integrating technology with business operations.
- Enthusiasm for open‑minded collaboration.
- Ability to ask the right questions and listen carefully to answers.
- Tenacity to shepherd pilot applications from concept through measurable results.
- Balanced perspective on AI's capabilities and limitations.
- Track record of turning ideas into implemented solutions.
- Change management expertise and experience, and ability to galvanize teams to adopt proven AI applications.
- Experience developing and delivering training programs and documentation.
- Comfort with ambiguity - this is a new role, and you’ll build the role as you go.
- Commercial architecture/construction/engineering industry experience.
- This role is performed in an office environment and may involve extended periods of computer‑based work.
- This role will be on site at our Wichita office.
- We will provide a company laptop for this position.
