BASIC FUNCTION:

  • Responsible for the clinical therapy program, including management, evaluation, and supervision of all clinical services. Provides therapeutic support to children and families to enhance safety, reduce symptoms associated with abuse or traumatic events, increase coping skills, identify emotional strengths, and foster supportive relationships within the child's system. Therapy goals may be achieved through individual therapy with the child, sessions with non-offending caregivers, joint sessions, and the application of various evidence-based treatment modalities from a strengths-based perspective

MAJOR

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clinical Program/Services Management

  • Plans, organizes, staffs, directs and evaluates clinical program activities to meet goals
  • Oversight, supervision, and evaluation of clinical staff
  • Works with Chief Operations Officer (COO) to set expectations and has accountability for therapy staff client service hours
  • Works closely with billing staff to ensure accuracy of insurance reimbursements
  • Assist clinical staff with maintaining appropriate skills and education. Demonstrates support of management, mission, values and goals of company
  • Provides information regarding Clinical Services for National Children's Alliance (NCA) accreditation
  • Assist in coordination of the implementation, supervision, and evaluation of therapy interns
  • Facilitate weekly therapy referral meeting and maintain statistical data in accordance with the meeting
  • Assist therapists with maintaining appropriate skills and education
  • Assist Chief Operations Officer with gathering and maintaining statistical data for grant reports

Client & Professional Services

  • Provide assessment and therapeutic services to children and non-offending caregivers
  • Maintain comprehensive client records, including services provided, case duration, and referrals
  • Develop individualized treatment plans specifying goals, methods, and treatment length
  • Consult with family advocates or other professionals to ensure appropriate interventions
  • Provide psychoeducation to caregivers to enhance their supportive and protective roles
  • Maintain a client caseload to meet billable hours expectations
  • Attend and testify in court as required
  • Maintain knowledge of community resources and coordinate referrals appropriately
  • Follow established service delivery guidelines and communicate effectively with partner agencies
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team case review meetings and present cases when requested
  • Collaborate with staff to promote teamwork and achieve optimal outcomes
  • Represent the organization in community educational programs, fundraising, and outreach
  • Maintain licensure and attend training or conferences to meet professional and accreditation standards
  • Function as a mandatory reporter as required by law
  • Perform additional duties as requested to support organizational operations

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Standard operating hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Flexibility required for scheduled sessions, programs, and occasional evening hours
  • Overtime:
    Minimal, with prior supervisor approval

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of staff supervision experience required
  • Minimum 5 years of direct client experience required
  • Advanced knowledge of child welfare systems, child abuse and neglect practices, and trauma-informed care

Education & Licensure:

  • Master s degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or related human services field
  • Advanced clinical license preferred (BSRB Licensed)
  • Maintain appropriate licensure, credentials, and continuing education for therapy with children and families
  • Completion of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or other evidence-based trauma therapy required (can be completed post-hire); certification encouraged
