Work Schedule: M-F 8:00 - 5:00 (Work may exceed 40 hours per week)

The Healthy Babies Community Liaison Coordinator provides for the day-to-day supervision of the Healthy Babies Community Liaison staff. Performs administrative work to assist the Healthy Babies Program Manager. Participates in the planning and direction of the Healthy Babies Program, including personnel management, budget preparation and grant writing. Reviews complex and/or difficult office and field procedures and the development of procedural improvements.

This position works to meet the mission of the Sedgwick County Health Department by promoting the wellness of Sedgwick County residents through the Healthy Babies Program’s focus on reduction of infant mortality, low birth weight and prematurity among high risk moms.

Coordinate daily provider activities as well as manage and evaluate personnel outcomes and expectations as they are related to grant requirements.

  • Review weekly and monthly reports regarding provider compliance as they relate to grant outcomes.
  • Work with the Program Manager and Senior Admin. Officer to ensure program outcomes are met.
  • Meet with providers on a consistent monthly basis to discuss progress on meeting program outcomes.

Compiles monthly data reports to track timely and accurate completion and submission of program-required documents. Also monitors and manages provider’s caseloads to ensure equal distribution of client cases.

  • Monitors weekly and monthly reports and provides feedback as requested to the Senior Admin. Officer.
  • Monitors providers progress towards achieving program requirements as stated in program grants.
  • Uses tools such as data tracking spreadsheets to track provider progress.
  • Establishes clear deadlines for providers to complete tasks as assigned.
  • Reviews electronic charts as part of their monthly supervision with providers to ensure program outcomes are being met.
  • Ensures program quality by completing quality assurance audit checks on client medical records and provider documentation.

Will participate, facilitate and promote partnership building and maintenance with both internal and external partners. Will represent Healthy Babies in a positive manner and promote the program goals and mission to foster positive support from community partners.

  • Will attend and participate in community coalitions as requested.
  • Will provide Healthy Babies program objectives and participant criteria to community partners as requested.
  • Will promote and foster provider participation by participating in at least 3 community outreach events in addition to the Community Baby Showers hosted by Healthy Babies.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, health science, psychology, sociology, counseling, or similar community service oriented field. One year supervisory experience. Experience with public speaking and presentation development. Experience with data management. One year of experience with Microsoft Suite. Per Sedgwick County Policy, this is a driving level position that requires a valid Kansas driver’s license without restrictions and current proof of automobile insurance.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, health science, sociology, counseling, or similar community service oriented field. Two years supervisory experience. Two years of experience in social work or women’s health. Current Kansas Master Level BSRB license.
