AVAILABLE POSITION:
Payroll and Compliance Administrator (Full-Time) | Wichita, KS
COMPENSATION: Approximately $25 per hour
Focus Mortgage is a fast-growing business looking to add a Payroll and Compliance Administrator. Have a knack for numbers and making sure all boxes are checked? WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:- Maintain and update accurate financial and payroll data across internal software systems, including commission summaries.
- Process payroll for both W-2 employees and 1099 contractors across multiple states using Gusto for payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
- Prepare and file payroll tax forms (including Forms 941, 940, W-2, W-3, and 1099s), ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Track and manage regulatory, payroll, and compliance filing deadlines in coordination with the leadership team.
- Keep the business organized by ensuring employee onboard processes are completed and the administrative email inbox is monitored.
Must Have
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience with managing payroll systems (preferably Gusto).
- Associate's Degree or higher.
- Extreme attention to detail.
- Ability to track multiple deadlines.
- Being known for completing every task on time.
- Above average ability to work with numbers.
- Advanced computer experience - ability to multitask on dual monitors.
- Able to adhere to multi-state requirements for payroll and taxes.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to take accountability for actions and to respond quickly.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Mortgage, Real Estate or other related financial services field.
- Experience with handling multi-state payroll work.
