- Analyzing an evolving portfolio of complex tax operations to provide meaningful business insights
- Identifying potential opportunities and risks and communicating these to our clients
- Learning and researching current market trends to maintain your credibility as a trusted advisor
- Developing clear, intelligent plans and approaches to improve our clients’ tax activities
- Researching our clients’ business operations and building long‑lasting relationships to tailor your advice to their specific needs
- Supervising a motivated team of professionals, guaranteeing they have the skills, knowledge and opportunities to reach their full potential
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline
- CPA, licensed Attorney or EA
- A minimum of 8 years professional knowledge in a broad range of state and local Income/Franchise tax processes, concepts and tools
- Experience managing budgets, people and projects
- A proven record of excellence in a professional services or tax organization
- Technical writing and research experience in a tax context
- The ability to prioritize when working on multiple complex projects
- Strong influencing skills, and the confidence to question existing processes
- A proven record in a professional services environment or in‑house experience in a wealth and asset management company
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, One Source Tax Compliance Software, Corptax, and/or Premium Pro
- Experience in coaching and mentoring junior colleagues
- Ability to adapt your work style to work with both internal and client team members
- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $132,700 to $303,200. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $159,300 to $344,600.
Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. - Join us in our team‑led and leader‑enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client‑serving roles to work together in person 40‑60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
