GENERAL JOB STATEMENT:
The Master Electrician works with the Lighting Designer and Assistant Lighting Designer in the direction of electrics staff and crew; hanging, focusing, and maintenance of instruments; planning and execution of electrical projects relating to scenery, props, crafts or otherwise; and inventory budget and management.

• Interpret and organize the light plot to determine the most efficient way to hang and focus lights.
• Assist designers and electricians during technical rehearsals and shows.
• Assist in planning, research, and engineering of practicals, special effects, and special projects.
• Assist in organization and maintenance of work spaces and tools.
• Maintain electrics shop and inventory.
• Ability to work with and lead a crew.
• Any additional tasks as requested by the Assistant Lighting Designer or the PM.

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in technical theatre or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ professional experience in electrics including safe practices, wiring, hang & focus, and run crew.
• Ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
