Project Designer Land Development

This is not a traditional land development engineering role.

As a Project Designer at Inspire Engineering
, you will be the technical engine behind a mission-driven effort to deliver high-quality, affordable housing communities. Your grading plans, drainage systems, roadway layouts, and utility designs won’t just support development projects, they will help families move into safe, stable homes.

You will take ownership of the engineering design for entire residential communities, navigate complex municipal approvals, and ensure your designs are constructable, efficient, and defensible. If you want your engineering expertise to directly impact lives, this is that opportunity.

Your work directly supports Prime Craftsman Homes and its nonprofit partners in building hundreds of affordable homes. Every drainage calculation and utility plan becomes part of a neighborhood that restores stability and dignity to families.

You won’t be stuck producing redlines. You’ll lead full-site designs, master permitting, refine hydrologic modeling, and expand your Civil 3D expertise, with a clear path toward senior technical leadership or project management.

You will manage significant portions of projects independently, becoming a trusted technical leader within a growing, mission-driven development model.

From raw land to finished neighborhood, you’ll experience the full lifecycle of your work.

Within your first year, you’ll be trusted to:

• Lead technical site design for affordable housing communities
• Develop grading, drainage, roadway, and utility plans
• Manage municipal permitting and subdivision approvals
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
• Coordinate survey, environmental, and planning consultants
• Reduce field conflicts by designing highly constructable plans
• Provide construction-phase engineering support
