* ** Your Role:
** Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Specialist     As an HSE Specialist, you will be a key leader in driving site-wide Health, Safety & Environmental initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulations and fostering a strong safety culture. You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining HSE programs across diverse operations, from Bioprocessing to Warehousing.

** Your Responsibilities:*
* * Develop, implement, and maintain HSE procedures and programs in alignment with local, state, and federal regulations.
* Conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement.
* Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, including air, water, waste, and hazardous materials management.
* Coordinate and provide HSE training and awareness initiatives across all departments.
* Champion a Safety First, Quality Always mindset throughout the organization and stay current with industry standards.

** What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):**
* *
* Education:

** Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
* *
* Experience:

** A minimum of 5 years of HSE experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably cGMP, biotech, or pharmaceutical).
* ** Top 2 skills:
** Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulatory requirements;

Experience with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, or similar management systems.

** What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):*
* * Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, NEBOSH, or equivalent.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Effective communication with leadership and strong interpersonal skills.
* Ability to influence and drive change across cross-functional teams.
* Experience managing waste disposal, recycling, and pollution prevention programs.

** Additional Information:**
* ** Travel:
** Minimal (estimated 5-10% annually), primarily to other Elanco sites within the U.S.

** Onsite role based in Elwood, KS. Occasional evening and weekend support may be required.
