Position: Structural Design Engineer *

6-month contract (potential extension) supporting Boeing 787 fuselage, wing & pylon structures.

We’re hiring Structural Design Engineers

Location:

Wichita, KS

Contract:

6 months (strong potential for extension)

Boeing 787 – Fuselage, Wing & Pylon

Role 1: 2–4 Years Experience

Pay: $46/hr (+ per diem for eligible candidates)

Description

Join a collaborative aerospace engineering team to develop, integrate, document, and evaluate flight vehicle structure designs
. Focus on performance, functional adequacy, manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. Your work may include primary and secondary structures, payload design, weight calculations, and lofting
.

Requirements
  • 2–4 years of experience in structural design for commercial aircraft
  • Strong knowledge of metallic structures
  • Proficiency in CATIA and Boeing design processes
  • Experience with ENOVIA
  • Recent experience on Boeing or Spirit programs (last 10 years), with primary structure experience
  • Exposure to aerospace structures, product development, and new design
  • Experience with commercial OEMs (Boeing, Airbus) or Spirit preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required (strongly preferred over drafter/technician backgrounds)
Role 2: 5–10 Years Experience

Pay: $55/hr (+ per diem for eligible candidates)

Description

Lead and perform structural design work for Boeing 787 fuselage, wing, and pylon structures
. Develop and evaluate designs for performance, manufacturability, cost, and regulatory compliance
. Work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, safe, and efficient structural solutions.

Requirements
  • 5–10 years of experience in structural design for commercial aerospace programs
  • Strong expertise in metallic structure design
  • Proficient in CATIA and Boeing design processes
  • Experience with ENOVIA
  • Recent experience on Boeing or Spirit commercial structures (last 10 years) with primary structure experience
  • Experience with aerospace structures, product development, and new design
  • Exposure to commercial OEMs (Boeing, Airbus) or Spirit preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
