We are seeking a results-driven Millwork Engineering Manager to lead drafting, system implementation, and production support for commercial casework and architectural millwork projects. This leadership role requires deep expertise in Microvellum and CAD software, along with a talent for process development, team coaching, and hitting tight deadlines. You’ll manage a team of draftspersons and be accountable for engineering deliverables that directly impact shop production quality and speed.

Key Responsibilities- Lead the engineering department with full responsibility for quality, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Develop and manage Microvellum‑based systems for drafting, submittals, and production inputs.
- Implement process improvement programs and continuously enhance workflows and standards.
- Oversee the production of submittals, material takeoffs, fabrication drawings, and part labels.
- Train and mentor drafters, ensuring adherence to best practices and company standards.
- Liaison with software vendors, CNC techs, and hardware suppliers to resolve technical issues.
- Review and approve shop drawings for quality, accuracy, and completeness.

- Collaborate closely with project managers and shop leads to align engineering and production goals.
- Attend job handoff and shop handoff meetings to plan project execution.
- Maintain inventory and support procurement of materials and tools for engineered components.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.
- 5+ years managing Microvellum systems, or 10+ years managing drafting for millwork/casework projects.
- 3+ years hands‑on woodworking experience preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microvellum, AutoCAD, and familiarity with 3D tools (Inventor, Sketch Up).
- Knowledge of additional software such as Cutrite Plus or Innergy Design is a plus.
- CNC programming experience is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to drive team performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Self‑starter with a strong sense of urgency and problem‑solving focus.
